    This 120-hour course is an introduction to the field of Early Childhood Education. Students will develop an understanding of methods and materials that may be used to promote the development of children birth to five years of age.     Caring for School-Agers Part 1 & 2

    This introductory four-hour training explores the philosophy and goals for high-quality programs and establishes an understanding of the principles of child growth and development. With an overview of the rules and regulations governing group care for school-age children and the of child growth responsibilities of the providers, you’ll build a solid foundation for working with children and youth in afterschool and child care settings.     Introduction to Reggio-Emilia Approach
    6 pm -8 pm
    Participants will earn a Certificate in the Reggio-Emilia Approach that is based on the philosophy founded by Loris Malaguzzi that originated in Reggio Emilia, Italy. The course will meet weekly and will include: Introduction to Reggio Emilia Approach, The Learning Environment as the Third Teacher, Making Learning Visible through Observation and Documentation, Arts Integration-The Atelier and Family Involvement.
